Handcrafted by Limbo
Hand-sculpted stoneware · Made in Lebanon · Exclusive series
Created exclusively for The Fig Tree, this limited collection of candleholders and napkin rings by Shirine Sbaiti — the artist behind Limbo — transforms the dining table into a stage for human connection. Known for her sculptural clay figures that explore the body in motion, Shirine brings the same sensitivity to these small yet powerful objects.
Each piece is hand-sculpted in stoneware, echoing the human form in gestures that feel intimate and alive — a curve of a limb, a subtle touch, a moment of pause. These functional sculptures invite a sense of presence, warmth, and quiet dialogue between form and ritual.
Rooted in collective memory and the beauty of imperfection, Limbo’s pieces for The Fig Tree blur the lines between object and emotion — grounding your table in connection, craft, and meaning.

Handcrafted by Zeina Aboul-Hosn
Pure Lebanese clay · Chouf Mountains · One-of-a-kind
Rooted in the raw beauty of Lebanon’s mountainous landscape, this piece is hand-formed by Beirut-based ceramist and filmmaker Zeina Aboul-Hosn, using unfiltered Lebanese clay sourced from the Chouf region in Lebanon. The clay is hand-processed by master potters who have passed down their techniques for generations—honoring tradition while embracing innovation.
Every form Zeina creates is an exploration—of land, material, and process. She works intuitively, letting the clay guide her, revealing its natural texture, strength, and imperfections. Her pieces are marked by generosity and presence, inviting touch and contemplation.
A co-founder of the Clay Stories Collective, Zeina is at the forefront of a movement redefining Lebanese clay in a contemporary context. Each piece carries the weight of history and the spark of reinvention—an object both grounded and poetic.

Handcrafted by Dana Barchini
Glaze specialist · Hand-glazed earthenware · One of a kind
For Dana Barchini, glazing is a language of intuition and transformation. A second-generation Lebanese ceramist and glaze specialist, she treats each plate as a canvas — layering glazes in unexpected ways and allowing the kiln to do the rest. The result: colors that bloom, pool, and shift like galaxies, revealing something new each time.
Each piece is entirely glazed and fired on a three-point kiln stilt, a tool lovingly handcrafted by her grandfather. These small dots — visible on the underside — are marks of the process, reminders of a legacy that bridges three generations of ceramicists.
No two plates are ever the same. They are living surfaces — poetic, unpredictable, and full of life — inviting you to experience the beauty of imperfection and the quiet drama of fire meeting earth.
